Police and Fire Service Preparation and Testing
Full baseline testing with results, training programme to prepare for specific test required. This also includes re-testing prior to undertaking the fitness test for the required service.

VO2 Max Testing
This is the gold standard test for measuring your aerobic capacity. This is an incremental protocol completed on a treadmill wearing a COSMED metabolic analyser. From the analyses, we can accurately define your heart rate zones for endurance, speed, and threshold training sessions, and different target race paces.
Duration: 90 minutes
Individual: £90 – Duration 90 minutes
Test-Retest: £160 – 2 x 90 minutes (To be used within 6 months of each other)
Team Testing: £100 per hour (maximum of 10 athletes)
Blood Lactate Profiling
Lactate profiling establishes how your body energy demands are fuelled by either aerobic or anaerobic mechanisms. This is an incremental protocol completed on either a treadmill or bike. A fingertip blood sample is taken every increment alongside heart rate. From the analyses we can determine your ‘thresholds’ so that you can maximise your physiological adaptions in training.
Duration: 90 minutes
Individual: £110 – Duration 90 minutes
Test-Retest: £200 – 2 x 90 minutes (To be used within 6 months of each other)
Team Testing: £120 per hour (maximum of 10 athletes)
Combined VO2 Max and Lactate Profiling
Combining both tests in one analysis.
Duration: 90 minutes
Individual: £150 – Duration 90 minutes
Test-Retest: £280 – 2 x 90 minutes (To be used within 6 months of each other)
Team Testing: £150 per hour (maximum of 10 athletes)
Resting Metabolic Rate
An accurate measure of your caloric energy expenditure using the COSMED metabolic analyser. This test analyses respiratory data and provides exact results individualised to your metabolic rate. This can be combined with anthropometric data to provide you with an overall comprehensive analysis.
Individual: £80 – Duration 60 minutes
Test-Retest: £150 – 2 x 60 minutes (To be used within 12 months of each other)
RMR and Nutritional Plan: £190 – 1 x 60 minutes and Nutritional Plan
Test-Retest and Nutritional Plan: £250 – 2 x 60 minutes and Nutritional Plan
Resting Metabolic Rate and VO2 Max
Individual – £160 – Duration 90 minutes
Test/Retest – £300 – 2 x 90 minutes (to be used within 12 months)
Wellbeing Check
Wellbeing Check (Height, Weight, BP, O2 sats, Blood Glucose, Body measurements)
Duration: 30 minutes

Body Composition
This is performed with Harpenden calipers using the ISAK anthropometric protocol and provides an accurate baseline measurement of your body fat status.
Duration: 45 minutes
Individual: £40
Team Testing: £50 per hour (maximum of 10 athletes)
Pre-season Testing
Pre-season testing of athletes (VO2 max, sprint, Countermovement jump, Functional movement screen, body composition)

This is performed using electronic timing gates over a distance of your choice and can include a change of direction.
